Here at Olympus, we have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Sales & Marketing Manager to join our GI/Respiratory (GIR).

Reporting to the General Manager - Corporate Partnerships & Endoscopic Solutions, your key focus will be the development and implementation of marketing and sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase the market share of our Gastroenterology (GI) and Respiratory medical product range. You will work in close collaboration with the sales and marketing leaders to drive profitable growth of the business - as well as foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, problem solving, and sales success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing and sales strategies to ensure continued commercial success of the medical business consisting of capital, consumables and digital healthcare products across Australia and New Zealand
  • Coach and mentor your team to drive operational effectiveness, business achievement, alignment to divisional objectives, company values and expectations, and overarching OAZ strategy.
  • Achieve operational objectives including customer satisfaction, team engagement, sales and profit targets
  • Work collaboratively with global and local cross functional teams to deliver on short- and long-term company objectives
  • Maintain adherence to ISO9000 standards & ensure all product marketing team members are correctly trained and apply the standards of the QA System Achievement indicators.
  • Partnering with the Corporate Accounts, QARA, Commercial, Medical &Scientific Affairs (MSA) teams.
  • Collaborate with other BUMs and Corporate Account Managers to ensure leverage of breadth of Olympus portfolio to grow the overall business and increase market share across all BUs.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of market dynamics through participation in medical and industry conventions, review of clinical journals and HCP interactions, and share this information with sales and marketing.

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, technical science, or a related business discipline;
  • Sales & Marketing Management experience in the Medical Device industry.
  • History of developing and leading high performing teams.
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A proven record of consistently following through on commitments.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating as an integral cross-functional team member.
  • Analytical skill set, strong presentation skills, ability to interact with any level within an organization
  • Ability to self-motivate and multi-task and work independently or within a team
  • Ability to fight for best possible customer experience at ALL levels.
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
