We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Full -Time Sales/Merchandiser to join our team, working within the Major Hardware and Building Material suppliers across Queensland.
The ideal candidate will travel to various Hardware stores & other customers, ensuring that our products are properly stocked, displayed, and merchandised to maximise sales.
This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to follow established systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandising:Ensure that products are attractively displayed and stocked in accordance with company guidelines and standards.
Sales: In addition to merchandising, you will also drive sales by engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending products to boost overall sales. Your strong interpersonal skills will help build relationships with store staff and customers alike, ensuring our products are prominently featured and effectively marketed.
Travel: Travel between various stores/customers within Queensland, Company car provided.
Inventory Management: Audit of stock levels
Store Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with sales and management staff.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Reporting: Provide regular reports on merchandising activities, including photos and detailed descriptions of work completed.
Technology Use: Utilise IT skills to manage inventory systems, communicate via email, and use company-provided software and tools.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in merchandising, Sales, or a related field is preferred.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Technical Skills: Proficient in using computers and familiar with basic IT systems. Ability to learn and use merchandising software.
Travel: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel between stores.
Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and moving products as required for merchandising tasks.
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility: Ability to work Full-time hours with a flexible schedule to meet the needs of different stores/ customers.
