The Opportunity
Your primary responsibility will be to service small retail accounts such as newsagents but will also call on B2B and education customers within your territory of responsibility and sell our product range to both existing and new customers.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a well-established, existing client base within metropolitan Melbourne primarily and occasionally regional Victoria and Tasmania.
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have energy, drive and enthusiasm and be comfortable in adopting a proactive approach to field account representation. Also important is that you display excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Role responsibilities:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue targets for assigned accounts
- Create and follow a call cycle plan
- Uncover opportunities to grow existing business
- Be on the lookout for new business growth opportunities
- Provide monthly feedback on relevant competitor and customer activity
Skills & Experience
We're ideally looking for 2+ years prior experience in territory sales of consumable products or a skilled merchandiser looking to take the step across to sales.
In addition, we're looking for:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with key stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to qualify an opportunity before acting upon it
- A flair for merchandising stock on shelf
- Be able to implement company strategic direction
- Your Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint skills should all be at a competent level as a minimum
