Sales Support Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, electrical, electronics or mechanical engineer to join Ivory Egg (Aust) Pty Ltd, a leading international distributor of intelligent, open standards, building controls. This newly created role will assist us to deliver upon our growth strategy for the Australia region. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and technically capable engineer, who will thrive on the challenge of working alongside our small sales team within this dynamic and fast growing, smart home and smart buildings marketplace.

Tasks Include: conducting quality inspections on customer returns and maintaining appropriate records and documentation identifying variations and potential high risk products in maintaining adherence to standards and installation procedures recommending corrective actions and improvements for the resolution of non-compliance with standards communicating with, liaising with and educating customers and sales staff to ensure awareness and adherence to standards, installation procedures and project quality assisting in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing and resolving product and system issues/problems developing, conducting and providing technical guidance and training in application software and operating procedures analysing, evaluating and diagnosing technical problems and issues such as installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade and configuration and troubleshooting of products and systems testing, identifying and diagnosing functionality errors and faults in products, systems, and programming code within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards performing automation and control systems architecture reviews and assessments, and recommending current and future hardware and software strategies creating and reviewing technical documentation such as procedural, instructional and operational guides and manuals, technical reports and specifications In return, we offer a competitive…
