Sales/Parts Interpreter required for an automotive aftermarket business in Townsville!
Our client is an Australian-owned and operated automotive aftermarket company specialising in the manufacture, import, and supply of a comprehensive range of underbody parts and services.Their expertise extends across various sectors, including passenger vehicles, performance vehicles, 4WDs, trucks, buses, as well as agricultural and mining equipment.
They are seeking a dedicated Sales/Parts Interpreter to join their team in Townsville. The ideal candidate will have a background in Diesel/HV, automotive administration and possess previous experience in a similar role.
However, they also provide product training for the right candidate. A mechanical understanding is crucial for success in this role, as it involves customer interactions, preparing quotes, and handling warehouse duties when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate sales enquiries and prepare service quotes
- Utilise knowledge of automotive parts to accurately quote service costs and time estimates
- Provide excellent customer service by supporting a diverse customer base and exceeding their expectations
- Build and maintain customer relationships through effective communication and product support
- Handle customer enquiries via telephone calls, emails, and over-the-counter service, providing technical support as required
- Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders
- Liaise with workshop staff to ensure
- Previous experience in a automotive or similar role preferred
- Mechanical understanding and knowledge of automotive parts
- Automotive administration knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate sales tasks and prepare accurate quotes
- Flexibility to assist with warehouse duties when required
- A forklift license would be an advantage
