About the Role

We are a bustling, high end boutique salon and need an upbeat, passionate and focused Salon Receptionist to help lead and manage our team and clientele. The ideal candidate is dynamic with a ‘can do’ attitude and loves attention to detail. As the Salon Receptionist, you will be the face of the salon and must reflect our culture and beliefs. Experience in the hair and beauty industry is preferred. 

Our current coordinator working part of her hours on the floor, allowing her to make targets and commissions and still enjoying doing hair. This is also an option for any applicant. This can be discussed more in person if interested. 

As a leading member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a high-end customer service experience, while coordinating all daily activities of the front desk and salon floor. 

Duties

• Being the first point of contact for all existing and new clients, face to face, over the phone and via email.
• Running and organising the appointment book & managing the client database
• We offer ‘First Class’ service in the salon, you must provide the highest quality service at all times
• Ensure the smooth and harmonious running of The Disco through open communication with staff and clients
• Assisting salon team when required
• Develop an in depth knowledge of salon retail brands and services (which will lead to you reaching your targets and making commission)
• Helping capture content from all team members for our social channels.
• You will help to manage our team to achieve salon goals for stylists services, retail sales and customer retention
• Maintain stock levels and ordering
• Check off and enter invoices into the system
• Supporting and managing a team of 7 passionate and creative stylists

The Perfect Candidate

• Past leadership/management experience and the ability to effectively multi task and problem solve
• Passionate about the Hair and Beauty Industry
• Engaging, friendly, approachable, positive and professional
• Experience with Phorest Salon Software system or a similar hair and beauty software brand. (All training will be provided)
• Confident and Personable while being approachable
• Fashion forward and fabulous
• Team player and a personality that can motivate a team to success
• Will bring a bright fresh energy to the team
• Immaculate presentation
