This is a full time permanent position based out of our beautiful North Sydney head office. We offer a modern office environment with fully equipped kitchens on every floor and comfortable seating where you can catch up with colleagues.

The opportunity

This is a varied hands-on role that will see you work in a highly successful A$4bn and growing, company.

• As our SAP Basis Lead, you'll have the chance to lead a talented team of experienced Administrators, guide them with your expertise, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• You'll be at the forefront of our SAP landscape, ensuring smooth operations, driving innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• As a member of the Technical Management team, you'll actively contribute to the development and execution of the roadmap for our SAP transition to S4 such as setting up trial systems and exploring new functionality and ensuring that our solutions align with our organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee SAP activities from installations to disaster recovery to include:
• Lead and mentor the Basis team, ensuring workload is managed effectively.
• Support SAP administration, ensuring SLAs are met and tasks are executed according to defined processes.
• Design and support SAP architecture, ensuring alignment with UGL/CIMIC and SAP best practices and maintain integrity of SAP backups and disaster recovery processes.
• Drive change management activities, including assisting with transports and managing SAP environments and identify areas for improvement and automation, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements related to SAP architecture and landscape.

About you

• Experience in a similar senior SAP Basis role with demonstrated knowledge of Windows and Suse Linux and strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with HANA DB support and SQL.
• Extensive SAP experience across installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and more.
• Familiarity with SAP technologies including Netweaver, ECC6, S/4HANA, and SAP Solution Manager.
• You will be required to be available on-call 24/7 to address any urgent SAP-related issues that may arise.
