The Opportunity
We have a rare opportunity presented itself as we search for a SAP Team Lead - Basis to join our team based in Macquarie Park, Sydney.
The Purpose of this role:
- Provide SAP basis support for Goodman Fielder and Wilmar Sugar business units that will enable smooth running of day-to-day business applications
- Maintain relationships with internal parties and external parties to deliver the optimal outcomes in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage the deliverables of the SAP Security Consultant
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the SAP infrastructure is well managed and maintained with regular contact with the SAP HEC technical team
- Ensure that the offshore Basis Team are completing their assigned tasks in a timely and effective manner
- Support the implementation of new technologies and perform regular system checks to ensure downtime to the business is maintained
- Manage the regular patching of SAP servers with SAP, including overseeing the process up to 8 times a year outside business hours
- Provide assistance on any P1 or P2 tickets in a timely manner and SAP basis on-call support
- Offer guidance and assistance on key projects in the manner of basis and security
- Ensure that the SAP security consultant is performing their tasks in an effective and timely manner. Train, coach and guide them
- DBA support (Oracle, MSSQL, HANA)
- 3rd party software support (IXOS, ActiveBatch, Gimmal)
What you will do:
- Work with the business to develop small-scale business process improvement and IT solutions that assist the business to be more productive and effective. This also entails supporting any changes or new requirements from the business.
- Provide BAU support to the business
- Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with people within the business
What you need:
- Proven experiences in SAP with experience in ECC, BW, BPC, and Business Object
- Demonstrated experience working in both Support and Project Team environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience in a brown field upgrade to S4 highly desirable
- Exceptional hands-on configuration experience - in-depth technical skills
- A passion for problem-solving with strong attention to detail with a solutions-focused mindset
