Our federal government client is seeking a talented and driven SAS Administrator. You will have proven experience in managing, maintaining or supporting Statistical Analysis System (SAS) platform in a large-scale organisation.
About the role:
- Partner with key stakeholders and understand requirements.
- Understand use cases, write functional specifications, and design documentation.
- Analyse business requirements and design the solution framework.
- Ad-hoc support of various SAS installations.
- Assist end users / customer-facing people in investigating and resolving every day issues.
- Maintain and enhance the source code and processing in the current SAS environment.
- Effectively communicate with team members throughout a project’s lifecycle.
- Timely patching of SAS and its components.
- Performance upkeep of SAS systems.
About you:
- Five years or more experience in supporting SAS landscape.
- Operating System hands on experience on Unix/Linux and shell scripting (ability to develop code rather than just maintain existing).
- Analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
- SAS Installation experience in large scale environment.
- Application support and maintenance.
Location and Contract Term
This role is being offered to those in Canberra, ACT. Initial contract for 12 months and high chance to be extended.
Security Requirements
Our Government Client require applicants must be Australian citizen and must have a NV1 Security clearance and candidate will be required to maintain a clearance at this level.
Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment screening checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
