SAS Administrator for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in ACT
Responsibilities- Partner with key stakeholders and understand requirements.
- Understand use cases, write functional specifications, and design documentation.
- Analyse business requirements and design the solution framework.
- Ad-hoc support of various SAS installations.
- Assist end users / customer-facing people in investigating and resolving everyday issues.
- Maintain and enhance the source code and processing in the current SAS environment.
- Effectively communicate with team members throughout a project’s lifecycle.
- Timely patching of SAS and its components.
- Performance upkeep of SAS systems.
- Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with agency standards, methods, and procedures to ensure information retention and re-use.
- Identify and discover automation possibilities for ease of administrative effort and reduction of repetitive work.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors to ensure smooth operations and support.
Essential Criteria- Five years or more experience in supporting SAS landscape.
- Operating System hands on experience on Unix/Linux and shell scripting (ability to develop code rather than just maintain existing).
- Analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
Desirable Criteria- SAS Installation experience in large scale environment.
- Application support and maintenance.
- Skilled in at least one programming language (preferably Python).
- Hands-on experience on Linux Platform as a Linux administrator or SAS application with Linux as underlying operating system.
