Northern Star Resources are seeking a motivated Scheduling Engineer to join our underground production engineering team at the iconic Mt Charlotte mine. Mt Charlotte is a historic operation that has been backed with significant investment, resulting in a long-term exciting future for the growing team of underground mining specialists.
This role is a Kalgoorlie based residential position on a 8/6 12-hour day roster; with the unique benefit of being less than a 10-minute drive to any front door in Kalgoorlie.
This role is responsible for coordinating the daily, weekly, and monthly mine activities to align with the annual mine plan. It is a crucial role for coordinating stakeholders to ensure plan execution in a safe and timely manner.
Requirements
Essential
- Bachelor Degree of Mining Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Experience in a production engineering related role with exposure to underground ventilation.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation.
- Experience using mine design software, with Deswik being the preferred software package.
- Current Unencumbered Western Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence, or the ability to attain.
- National Police Clearance - valid within twelve (12) months.
- Must reside within the Goldfields, WA Region for this residential opportunity, or willing to relocate.
Preferred
- Experience in a mine that utilises Sub Level Caving, Modified Avoca or Sub Level Open Stoping.
- First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency or ability to acquire it (UG practical experience completed).
