About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mining Professional to join our inclusive and high performing team responsible for providing directional guidance to the business through our Daily Mine Planning activities.

Reporting to the Senior Engineer Scheduling, Mining Production Execution, as a Daily Engineer Scheduler you will play an integral role by analysing all available data and predicting trends for optimising daily digger and crusher throughput.

This diverse range of work will see you positively influence business decisions and will require a focus on delivering value, clear decision-making skills, technical excellence, and strong collaboration skills are highly regarded.

Your responsibilities will involve:

  • Producing the 24hr mine plan and blend for Mining Area C Products
  • Consolidating grades with South Flank to meet specific blend targets of our customers
  • Working with a wide group of stakeholders to achieve weekly plan targets
  • Fostering a safe and productive work environment through planning, communication, and field leadership
  • Provide input and feedback to improve the weekly mine/enablement plan

About You

The successful applicant will have:

  • Understanding of open pit mining practices and processes
  • Ability to demonstrate an ability to problem solve in a timely manner
  • Effective and strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with multiple work groups
  • Background in Geology or Ore Grading is desirable but not essential
  • Have a sound understanding of Fleet management systems (Minestar / Modular)
