About the role:
We are seeking an experienced School Counsellor who is fully bilingual in French and English to join our wellbeing service team. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide best-practice support, guidelines and interventions as well as developmentally appropriate counselling for students at all school levels (Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school levels).
- Provide support for teachers in the management and assessment of student learning, behaviour and wellbeing concerns.
- Work with parents or guardians to provide guidance and support in understanding and managing their child’s social, emotional and learning needs.
About the ideal candidate:
- Practical experience working with children and young persons of all ages in a school environment would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in French & English
- Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools.
