AddressKincoppal-Rose Bay School of the Sacred Heart, founded in 1882, is a leading Catholic Independent Day and Boarding School located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The college is co-educational ELC-6, and girls only 7-12.
At present, we are inviting applications for a School Nurse to join our dynamic learning community as soon as possible, based at our iconic campus with beautiful views over Sydney Harbour. Ideally, you would be able to work three days a week (Wednesday to Friday), from 9 am - 3 pm.
The role:
- Commences as soon as possible, no weekend work
- Work during School term only, until the end of School year
- Responsible for delivering Nursing and Wellbeing services to day and boarding students across ELC-12
- Input and management of health-related student data into School systems
- Help develop health and wellbeing initiatives
- Build meaningful and lasting relationships with students and parents
- Reports to the Health Centre Manager, and works with 3 other School Nurses
The ideal candidate:
- Prepared to commit to the goals of a Sacred Heart education and be an active and visible participant in the dynamic life of our School.
- In possession of a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Appropriately qualified, including First Aid & CPR (Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications highly regarded)
- Demonstrated Nursing experience in a School environment preferred (but not essential)
- Shows initiative and a proactive approach to work
- Comfortable with IT systems including databases, with strong administration skills
- Positive demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A genuine care and interest in student welfare
- A natural at building effective relationships with a range of people
