The Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant is responsible for coordinating the management of the NSW Adolescent School-Based Vaccination Program in Sydney Local Health District and ensuring that the service is conducted in line with NSW Ministry of Health protocols, including scheduling of schools, rostering staff, provision of information to schools and parents, analysing coverage and data management. The Clinical Nurse Consultant is also responsible for providing expert consultancy in the area of immunisation.
Ideal Candidate
- Holds a current and valid nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation (AHPRA), with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience.
- Holds approved post registration nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field in which he/she is appointed, or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
- Is an authorised immunisation provider and knowledgeable about the NSW vaccination program.
- Holds a Current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
