We are seeking an innovative and motivated School Support Officer to join our team. This is a part time, temporary role, and would be well suited to candidates with a demonstrated administrative skill set and experience in clerical support, student services and customer service. This role provides a range of services in our Office, working with families, staff and students.
Responsibilities include:
- undertake reception and general office duties;
- updating events and information on Compass;
- clerical services including data entry, photocopying and scanning;
- photocopying;
- assisting with management of the school office;
- word processing of routine correspondence, including internal and external publications, teacher programmes and teaching aids;
- assisting with the co-ordination of school functions and events;
- Student services; communication between students, teachers and parents, administration requirements, assisting students at reception;
- Maintaining student records; attendance, enrolments, academic data;
To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will possess:
- demonstrated skills in accurate and timely data entry,
- First Aid and CPR certification
- strong problem solving ability
- exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- highly developed interpersonal skills
- demonstrated ability to perform as a team player
- excellent telephone manner and high order skills in handling difficult conversations
