School Support Officer

We are seeking an innovative and motivated School Support Officer to join our team. This is a part time, temporary role, and would be well suited to candidates with a demonstrated administrative skill set and experience in clerical support, student services and customer service. This role provides a range of services in our Office, working with families, staff and students.

Responsibilities include:

• undertake reception and general office duties;
• updating events and information on Compass;
• clerical services including data entry, photocopying and scanning;
• photocopying;
• assisting with management of the school office;
• word processing of routine correspondence, including internal and external publications, teacher programmes and teaching aids;
• assisting with the co-ordination of school functions and events;
• Student services; communication between students, teachers and parents, administration requirements, assisting students at reception;
• Maintaining student records; attendance, enrolments, academic data;

To be successful in this position, our ideal candidate will possess:

• demonstrated skills in accurate and timely data entry,
• First Aid and CPR certification
• strong problem solving ability
• exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• highly developed interpersonal skills
• demonstrated ability to perform as a team player
• excellent telephone manner and high order skills in handling difficult conversations
