About you
As a School Support Officer (Level 4), you will be an integral member of the school community who will demonstrate Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School's values and professional standards in interacting with students, staff, parents and the community.
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- strong communication skills and ability to deal sensitively with students, parents/carers and staff when required
- interact positively with parents, students and staff
- ensure effective school administration processes are implemented and maintained in the areas of Enrolments and Census
- engage with all school processes including WHS, recruitment, maintenance of facilities and administrative support
- excellent organisational skills including the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- experience working in administration
- experience with Compass PHRIS and Ancestry programs is essential
- ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team
- advanced computer literacy skills (MS Office and Google Suite)
- interpersonal skills in working with a range of people
- excellent written and oral communication
- attention to detail and accuracy
- ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement
- ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- strong demonstrated experience with high-level administration
- a flexible attitude with the willingness to learn new skills
- first Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- assist in the processing of school fees, payments, banking and orders/purchasing
- organisational and time management skills
- experience in a school office environment
- ability to recognise confidential issues as they arise and to treat them with the sensitivity required
- willingness to support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- other duties as directed by the Principal.
You will have attained:
- a Certificate III/ IV (TAFE NSW) or equivalent post-secondary qualification in administration, human resources, finance, accounting or equivalent
- an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Work in SCS
