About you
The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the College and utilise effective teaching and learning strategies and technologies to enhance 21st century pedagogy.
To be considered for this role, you will have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
- qualifications in teaching Science (with the capacity to teach Chemistry and/or Physics)
- understanding of, and commitment to, the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church
- ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning
- exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies
- understanding of current educational research, including authentic assessment practices, differentiation and effective feedback
- interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff
- empower students to be independent and creative learners
- ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the College
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- strong organisational skills.
You will have attained:
- a Tertiary qualification in Education
- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- an Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS.
