Form of workAn exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded Goverment K-9 school in Point Cook. This is a full-time position, starting ASAP andd ongoing employment. Responsibilities entail teaching Science to students in years 7-9.The successful candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of science, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning. As a Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to engage students through hands-on experiments, interactive demonstrations, and innovative teaching methodologies.
Key Duties
Develop and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel motivated to explore scientific concepts and ask questions.
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to support their growth.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary projects and integrate science across the curriculum.
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
Skills & Experience:
- Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Hold a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years.
