Due to increase in project requirements, an opportunity has now arisen for a Scientist/Bioprocess Engineer to perform cell culture & recombinant protein expression for screening of mammalian cell lines for the manufacture of biologics to support the Cell Line Development team.
About the Organisation:
Reporting to the Senior Scientist, key responsibilities include the following:
- Screen mammalian cell lines for the manufacture of biologics & early phase upstream process using semi-automated mini bioreactor system.
- Plan & execute experiments with accurate & timely collection of data.
- Participate in analysis of data in conjunction with the team.
- Prepare experimental protocols, scientific reports & SOPs as required.
- Coordinate activities with R&D including lab work & office based activities.
- Present scientific data at departmental level & wider R&D community.
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience:
- PhD and/or Masters in Life Science or Bioprocess Engineering with relevant work experience.
- Specific experience in Bioreactors & Mammalian Cell Culture.
- Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences experience
- Sound organisation & time management skills.
- Well developed communication & interpersonal skills.
- Self motivated and independent with the ability to liaise at all levels.
