About the opportunity
The Scientist/Bio process Engineer will be screening of mammalian cell lines for the manufacture of biologics and early-phase upstream process development using a semi-automated mini bio reactor system.
Duties
- Planning and careful execution of experiments
- Accurate and timely data collection including documentation of experiments
- Participate in the analysis of data in conjunction with the team
- Author documents including experimental protocols and reports
- Communicate ideas and results succinctly to the team in reports and presentations
- Coordination of activities with other parts of the Research and Product Development organisations
- 50% lab work – semi automated system
- Monitoring of process and analyse data in real time and make decisions to change the process so quick thinking is needed
- Making buffers
- 50% office based – partially programming a robot experience in this would be beneficial
- Data analysis – JMP for statistical planning and analysis
- Presenting in lab meetings and wider R&D community
- Coordination with other departments
- Degree in Life Science or Bio process Engineer (PhD preferred)
- Must have prior experience in working with Bio reactors before
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideally 2-4 years of experience in Data analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- High level of detail orientation
