About the Role
WorkPac are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator (Grader Operator) to join our clients dynamic team at Saraji. This role involves a 7/7-day shift only roster. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in our mining operations, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of heavy machinery to meet project goals and deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate excavators and other heavy machinery, including graders, in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform digging, loading, trenching, and grading activities as required by the project.
Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to the supervisor.
Assist with other duties as assigned by the project manager.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as an Excavator Operator and Grader Operator in the mining or construction industry.
Hold a current Excavator Ticket required.
Current Coal Board Medical certification.
S11 certification.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
High level of physical fitness and stamina.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Previous experience working in a mining environment is highly desirable.
