POSITION – SEAFOOD PROCESS WORKER
Western Abalone Processors Pty Ltd located on the Eyre Peninsula in Port Lincoln is seeking a motivated person to join our team as a Process Worker.
We are looking for someone to join our team of dedicated workers to contribute to the safe, efficient & effective operation of our daily processing, offering a broad range of skills & abilities related to Abalone processing.
Responsibilities;
• Processing of both Blacklip & Greenlip
• Ensuring upkeep & maintenance of the equipment under your care
• Quality control – ensuring the quality of product under your care, identifying any issues & working with management to address the issues
• All aspects of both wild & farmed abalone processing, including but not limited to; live operations, weigh-offs, shucking, grading, IQF, brine-freezing, shells (cleaning, grading & packing), packing (wild & farmed), load-outs & par-boiling
• Work Health & Safety – any issues are identified and communicated to the Office / Processing Supervisor & ensure all WH&S requirements are adhered to
• Forklift operation
• Any other duties as directed by the GM, Processing Manager or Processing Supervisor
Requirements;
• 2 years previous experience in Seafood Processing – experience with brine tank, rumbler, grading machine, shucking abalone & live seafood handling essential
• Previous food quality control experience essential
• Drivers licence preferred
• Forklift licence essential
• Physical fitness & willingness to work
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently
This is a Full-time position with 38 hours a week required, salary is $60-70,000 subject to the skills, experience & qualifications of the successful applicant.
