Secondary Learning Enrichment Teacher Aide
Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 11 co-educational, non-denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth. By 2025 the school will be Prep to Year 12.
The College is seeking applications from Christian professionals to provide Teacher Aide support in our Learning Enrichment Department for a Term 2 start.
Persons able to do Full-Time or Part-Time are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience and/or qualifications as a Teacher Aide will be viewed favourably, as well as a passion for Christian schooling.
Applications are invited from prospective Teacher Aides with the following professional qualities:
· Willingness to assist teachers and students with teaching and learning activities.
· Willingness to work 1-to-1 with a student to support individualised access to the curriculum and activities within the school.
· Capacity and willingness to transport a student around College grounds between activities.
· Respect and empathy for all students, and especially those with additional learning needs.
· Confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families.
· Willingness to assist in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials, particularly those pertaining to students with disabilities.
· Provide playground, and before/after school student supervision as required.
· Provide professional advice and reflection to teaching staff so that the student/s’ educational needs can be met.
· Willingness to assist students with special daily activities needs. In certain circumstances this may include: safely moving disabled pupils, assisting with positioning, assisting with meals etc. Where training is needed, the successful applicant should either have already completed training, or be willing to undertake training.
· Establish and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships between the school and community particularly in regard to the ethical obligations outlined in the School Code of Conduct.
