About the Role:
Attention all Junior Secondary Maths teachers! Tradewind is excited to collaborate with an F-9 school in Tarneit. This opportunity allows you to guide students in years 7-9, supporting them in cultivating a diverse range of mathematical skills and concepts. The role begins in Term 1, offering a full-time ongoing position, with the option for school tours.
Key duties:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum
• Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
• Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development.
• Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices.

Skills & Experience:

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Must have a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
