Job DescriptionAbout the Role:
Attention all Junior Secondary Maths teachers! Tradewind is excited to collaborate with an F-9 school in Tarneit. This opportunity allows you to guide students in years 7-9, supporting them in cultivating a diverse range of mathematical skills and concepts. The role begins in Term 3, offering a full-time ongoing position, with the option for school tours.Key duties:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive Maths and Science curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, covering various topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.
• Create engaging and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, incorporating hands-on experiments, problem-solving activities, and inquiry-based investigations to enhance students' understanding and mastery of mathematical and scientific concepts.
• Design and administer assessments, tests, and experiments to evaluate students' understanding and provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their academic performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Maths and Science departments and across other subject areas to create interdisciplinary projects, thematic units, and cross-curricular connections.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in Maths and Science education.

Skills & Experience:

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Valid VIT registration
• Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths/science in Austraka
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
