Bede Polding College is seeking a Religion & Mathematics Secondary Teacher to join their collaborative team on a Permanent Full-time basis.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Have a thorough knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum
- Demonstrate understanding of the curriculum and the Theology by which it is underpinned, by knowing key concepts, skills, pedagogy, subject specific literacy and language and current issues pertaining to Religious Education
- The ability to critically select each of these appropriate to each student's stage of development and challenges students to be witnesses of faith by providing them appropriate activities in formation
- Teachers of Religious Education plan for and implement effective learning and teaching by negotiating with students to develop individual, explicit, challenging and achievable learning goals
- Designing conceptually coherent learning programmes using research evidence and appropriate teaching strategies
- Analyses and evaluates a student's learning by using a range of strategies for providing feedback in relation to the student's current and future learning
- Teachers of Religious Education are foremost a Witness to Faith
- Committed to the continual improvement of their teaching practice by using professional teaching standards and key educational and Church documents to evaluate regularly their professional knowledge, practice and engagement
- The Religious Education teacher takes opportunities for personal professional learning and regular formation for mission
- The Mathematics teacher
- Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform 'next steps' for students;
- Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:
- Inquiry-based learning
- Creativity and critical thinking;
- Responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;
- Know and apply NESA and Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese(CSPD) requirements.

- Tertiary qualifications in Education
