Shore is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced teacher to teach boys from Stages 4-6. This is a permanent, full time position commencing Term 3,2024.

- Ability to teach PDHPE curriculum across stages 4-6
- Exercise effective classroom management and implement the School’s academic and disciplinary policies;
- Build and continuously improve their knowledge and understanding of their subject(s) specialisation and curriculum;
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge and practice of modern pedagogy and teaching philosophy;
- Develop professional and nurturing relationships with their students that foster curiosity, inspire learning and promote a safe and effective learning environment;
- Encourage a culture of curiosity, life-long learning and academic excellence amongst the School’s students;
- Develop innovative, engaging and effective lesson plans, learning activities, assessment tools and content presenting prescribed curriculum using a range of teaching techniques and materials
- Participate in departmental reviews of programmes and practices
- Prepare for and participate in parent/ guardian teacher interviews
- Hold the requisite NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA) approved teaching qualifications and accreditation.
- Be willing to participate fully in the co-curricular life of the school, in particular with the ability to significantly contribute to the School’s sporting programme
- Have the ability to inspire and engage effectively with senior school students
- Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum and assessment for senior school students
- Be a passionate advocate for innovative approaches to learning and able to demonstrate how you have applied this in your lesson planning and classroom management
- Be a superior communicator, both written and verbally, including possessing a demonstrated ability to engage with parents, staff, and students effectively
