Responsibilities
Develops Cloud security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
Leads security team operations in the Cloud environment, and manages competencies by planning the delivery of solutions; mentors other IS team members across technical security solutions and Cloud security policy; guides; assists in the self-development of team members teaching improved processes.
Engages and mentors across the Information Systems team, Outsourced Service Suppliers and operational teams in Cloud security best practices and alerts team members to emerging threats and trends in the security space; provides specialist security consulting and security stewardship to ensure security best practices are adopted.
Implements Cloud security systems and improvements by specifying cyber intrusion detection methodologies and software; directing architecture design, software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining security keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
Maintains Cloud security operations by identifying, detecting and responding to targeted cyber threats, conducts incident response analyses, coordinates remediation activities, manages communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Upgrades Cloud security systems by monitoring the security environment; identifying security gaps and vulnerabilities; evaluating and implementing enhancements.
Prepare security management reporting, advising on security posture and trends, highlight security risks and incidents by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing Cloud security data and trends.
Skills and experience
7 - 10 years of experience in Information Technology, minimum 5 years' experience in Security Operations and Architecture
Minimum 2 years' experience with proven track record of large-scale cloud architecture and design experience
Leading and managing teams and vendors
Microsoft Azure and Office 365
AWS security technology such as IAM, AWS Guard uty and Security Hub
User Federations Technologies (eg SAML and OATH)
Security labelling and DLP technologies
AWS and Azure sercurity certifications would be highly regarded
