Victorian government's top statutory authority is looking for a Security Architect to be part of their Security team for a long-term contract.
Your new role
As an expert and having a blend of technical and soft skills, your main role would include but not limit to:
- Lead the orchestration of design tasks to champion digital security principles.
- Assess potential new services, suppliers, applications, and security instruments for their security implications and compatibility with existing architecture.
- Catalogue the movement of sensitive data (like PII) within the company and suggest measures such as encryption or tokenization to secure it.
- Detect security deficiencies and implement remedial controls, escalating any concerns to the risk analyst.
- Conduct reviews of AWS security measures using tools like Security Hub, AWS Config, Security Groups, NACLs, Routing Tables, Guard Duty, Detective, AWS KMS, etc.
- Have expertise in crafting and deploying security measures around IAM, application security, OS hardening, and perimeter WAFs.
- Execute a technical security evaluation of the AWS landscape using in-house tools like Security Hub, AWS Config, Security Groups, NACLs, Routing Tables, Guard Duty, Detective, AWS KMS, etc.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll need to have a commitment to customer service excellence, with the capability to navigate high-pressure, complex technical scenarios, addressing intricate challenges through creative solutions and industry best practices. You'll also need:
- Proven expertise in autonomously and collectively overseeing the complete support and resolution cycle for designated tasks, leveraging comprehensive analysis, evaluation, and specialised knowledge.
- Established proficiency in motivating and steering external service providers to achieve strategic business objectives securely and safely.
- Proficient in enterprise application system lifecycle, encompassing analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and support, with a deep understanding of the Service Delivery Lifecycle.
- Well-versed in application support, lifecycle governance, deployment coordination, environment setup, and mastery of software development lifecycle processes, tools, and systems, such as ITIL, DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery, and Rapid Application Development.
- Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISA will be an additional plus.
