To continue delivering a world-class service to our clients, we are looking for a passionate Splunk Security Engineer to join our Managed Security Services team.This role is responsible for system health, system performance & maintenance and responding to incidents and service requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve monitoring platform issues across different Security technology stacks including Splunk, Log Rhythm
- Apply hot fixes/Upgrades
- Splunk Admin and data on-boarding across multiple data sources
- Working with Splunk Heavy Forwarders, Universal Forwarders and Deployment Servers, Ability to troubleshoot issues and liaise with key stakeholders.
- Support development and implementation of SIEM solutions within our client environment by advising on design concepts and changes, implementation strategies, and deployment timelines
- Contribute to processes and review their application to ensure that the controls, policies, and procedures are operating effectively
- Develop routine schedule to mentor staff(junior) and assist in progressing their skills level
- Follow and enforce ITIL aligned incident, request fulfilment, problem and change management process for any changes required on customer’s network.
About you
- Tertiary qualification in information technology or similar field (desirable)
- Splunk professional level certifications
- Good Understanding of Linux/Unix Operating systems
- ITIL Foundation Qualifications and suitable vendor certifications preferred
- Exposure to various other security tools and products eg: Nessus, Dragos etc
- At least 3 years of experience working in SIEM
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to leverage server/network knowledge and a broad of array of tools to solve problems
- Familiar with Splunk validated Architectures and you have experience in consulting business owners to identify data use cases
- Given the nature of the role requirements, candidate must be Australian Citizen and eligible for security clearance.
