The Banking and Financial Services Application Security team defends Macquarie’s retail banking and financial services business. The team ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Macquarie’s systems and information.

What role will you play?
You will be responsible for enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency by leveraging AI technology and process design. By building autonomous teams, overseeing Jira workflow and developing automated reporting systems, you will coordinate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to design processes and tooling for group-wide and business unit-specific needs. Additionally, you will be involved in collecting and analysing customer feedback metrics such as Net Promoter Scores.
What you offer
- 10+ years’ of experience in technical design roles
- 7+ years’ of security experience in large enterprises, preferably in global financial services
- 5+ years’ of experience in leading small teams
- Current or previous experience in configuring, operating and designing security solutions for business and technology initiatives
- Experience with formal security design aspects, including logical and physical security design
- Familiarity with SABSA, NIST 800-53, Open FAIR, MITRE ATT&CK/D3FEND and related methodologies or frameworks
- Demonstrable experience working with public cloud (AWS and/or GCP), containers, Kubernetes and related technologies
- Experience with Security Engineering, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, automation and application development desirable
- Sound understanding of vendor technologies and roadmaps with current knowledge of key IT industry themes and emerging trends
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively about abstract and complex topics to a range of audiences.
