The Position
CEA Technologies 24/7 onsite Protective security team upholds security and safety across our facilities in Fyshwick ACT. This specific role is more than a physical presence as you will need exceptional attention to detail, extremely focused and provide a high level of customer service to CEA staff members and visitors.
Our Protective Security Officers will conduct routine tasks such as monitoring, responding to alarms, conducting physical security patrols of our buildings and assets, as well as a range of other interesting responsibilities. Providing support within the Security team and across broader company operations is very important for this role.
This role is responsible for:
- Providing a 24/7 onsite, security service in line with site SOPs on a fixed roster of day shifts (06:00am – 18:00pm) - 4 days on and 4 days off rotating over 8 weeks.
- Operate the computer based alarm and access control systems in the Security Control Room.
- Respond and report on all alarm activations.
- Utilise the access control system to produce access passes (new and temporary) for CEA employees.
- Operate the computer based CCTV System
- Complete and submit a daily security shift log for all security events.
- Conduct internal and external patrols of the buildings and checks on site assets.
- Conduct breach / clear desk patrols and removal / log of classified documents.
- Be first responders to emergency situations and services outside of core business hours.
- Provide detailed and accurate written reports for all incidents.
- Escalate emergency situations to CEA Security on-call officer as needed
Essential
- AGSVA Clearance Level: Negative Vetting 1
- Current ACT Security License
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current ACT Driver's License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and personable customer service focused with a positive outlook
- Broad knowledge of computer based security systems and willingness to learn and adapt to the systems we have in place.
- Sound understanding of security process and procedures and ability to quickly adapt to our requirements.
- The willingness to work as a casual employee working no set roster per week. The role will be a back fill opportunity so you must be available after hours and weekends.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this position you must be:
- An Australian Citizen
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance - Negative Vetting 1
The successful candidate MUST be able to obtain a clearance prior to commencement.
