The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the roleThe position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders.Duties include but are not limited to :

• Patrol assigned area including garages and other parking areas, check for suspicious occurrences and enforce parking rules and regulations
• Open and close facility, ensuring that users have left the premises.
• Enforce procedural rules and regulations
• Ensure the personal safety of staff, visitors, and property
• Maintain security and safety for assigned area

Skills & experience

• Certificate II in Security Operations and Current First Aid certificate
• NSW Security Licence
• Customer centric approach
• Proven ability to remain alert while focused on task
• Flexibility and adaptability
• The ability to deal with the public in a patient and personable manner
