ROLE: Security and Operations Engineers (Multiple)

LOCATION: Canberra, Australia

CONTRACT: July 1 2024 - June 30 2025, 3x12 months extension (Perm positions will also be considered)

CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain NV2

We are recruiting on behalf of a large Federal Government Department for multiple Security and Operations Engineer contract / perm roles. This is a 24*7 managed services support program and we are seeking engineers from a variety of levels (Level 1 - Level 4).

Level 1.5 Security/Operational Support:

  • Provide 24/7 on-site operational support.
  • Clearly outline personnel allocation for standard hours and shift work.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve known errors.
  • Escalate service requests and incidents to relevant resolver groups.
  • Support Level 2 engineers in troubleshooting and remedial activities.

Level 2 Security/Operational Support:

  • Offer Level 2 operational support.
  • Provide root cause analysis and resolution for issues.
  • Action service requests, incidents, problem records, and change requests.
  • Support Level 3 engineers in troubleshooting and remedial activities.
  • Collaborate with vendor support under existing Defence arrangements.
  • Deliver after-hours on-call technical support for Priority 1 and 2 incidents.

Level 3 Security/Operational Support:

  • Provide Level 3 operational support.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate incidents related to Gateway environment performance.
  • Offer subject matter expertise input for permanent solutions.
  • Deliver after-hours on-call technical support for Priority 1 and 2 incidents.
  • Represent the Directorate in meetings.
  • Act as escalation for Level 2 after-hours on-call technical support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in Service Integration and Management (SIAM).
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operational support environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with DDG Service Management Processes.
