About the Role
As the Security Operations Manager at Satalyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing our Security Operations, with a primary focus on incident management and response. Leveraging your expertise in Microsoft security solutions, you will lead a dynamic team in responding to and mitigating security incidents, ensuring the resilience of our organization's cybersecurity posture.
The role will possess a deep understanding of a wide range of Security products and services, including but not limited to Endpoint Protection, Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, SIEM and SOAR. In doing so, when needed this role will work with key stakeholders in the business from areas such as Security, Desktop & Infrastructure, Sales & Marketing to ensure all key aspects of Security Operations have been considered. Being a strategic influencer in our cybersecurity strategy where your insights and expertise will be instrumental in shaping our security offering value to all our clients.
This is a hybrid role which may be based from multiple locations within Australia, requiring travel from time to time. It will report into the Security Practice Lead.
Main Duties
- Be responsible for the oversight and management of Security Operations monitoring services in accordance with established SLAs
- Support and lead Security Operations teams by providing rostering, proposals, capacity management and service delivery;
- Act as a point of escalation for SecOps teams and will ensure appropriate resolution of incidents
- Conduct regular Account Management meeting with Security Operations Clients and manage ongoing service needs and identifying opportunities
- Undertake regular monthly reporting to Security Operations clients for activities, service metrics, SLA performance, recommendations
- Provide customer feedback to the Security Operations teams and Satalyst Sales team in relation to current offerings and future requirements.
- Monitor and report on overall performance to identify improvement opportunities, optimise the operations and highlight the value of our services.
- Ensuring service-related documentation is accurate, up to date, and readily available.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, as well as relevant process & procedures, and play an active role in continually improving them (for example: team onboarding and offboarding)
About You
As the Security Operations Manager, this role requires a good range of technical capabilities in line with technologies we manage for our customers as well as the ability to be a key contact and escalation point for our customers. We are looking for someone with proven experience in managing & leading incident response teams. Key skills include -
- Minimum 5 years' experience providing technical support to outsourced customers
- Minimum 2 years' experience leading and managing a support team
- In-depth knowledge of incident management processes, including identification, containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned
- Experience on Microsoft Security products (Sentinel, Defender, Purview)
- Certification from either Security Industry or Microsoft would be highly preferred
