Senior Manager Security Operations
Location - Parramatta/Hybrid
Employment type - Ongoing/Full-time
Salary - Grade 11/12 ($139,787 - $161,663 + superannuation)
Your role
The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Security Operations team in the implementation and delivery of multi-year programs which seek to transform the maintenance of security assets, improving the protection of DCJ people, information, and assets.
What you'll do
The Senior Manager Security Operations is responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation, standards, policies and procedures and support planning and decision making for security operating and capital expenditure within Security Operations, Major Program Delivery.
This role is responsible for undertaking security risk, threat and vulnerability assessments whilst providing informed, evidence-based decisions and recommendations in relation to security asset interventions. The Senior Manager Security Operations will respond to changes in the operating environment and significant security incidents, to achieve partnered, sustainable solutions which are aligned to Security Operations outcomes and I&A priorities.
Key accountabilities are:
- Direct the delivery of Security Operations and lead a team to achieve defined outcomes.
- Partner, coordinate and liaise with customers and stakeholders on all security matters.
- Strategically manage relationships and contracts with security service providers in accordance with NSW Procurement guidelines to ensure the Department receives services procured, and measure and report on performance.
- Bring expert advice to contemporary security solutions and support informed, evidence-based decision-making.
- Deliver a multi-year program of work to improve security maturity for DCJ.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in protective and/or operational security with sound knowledge of electronic security project management, electronic security services vendor management, policy imperatives, and a proven track record of the delivery of multi-faceted, complex programs of work. Ideally you will have had experience in managing commercial contractual engagements and you must be able to demonstrate a high degree of business acumen.
Essential requirements
- Possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a minimum Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance and a favourable Criminal Records Inquiry (CRI).
- Possess, or have the ability to obtain, an NSW Class 2A Security Consultant license.
- Tertiary qualifications in electronic communications or electronic engineering, and security or significant demonstrated equivalent experience.
