About the role

We have an opportunity for a Security Platform Owner to be part of our Technology Command. The role is responsible for the strategic management and overall success of technology platforms within NSW Police Force with a primary focus on overseeing the lifecycle of the platform, from initial planning and design to ongoing operations and continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

•             Understanding of IT Service Delivery processes and experience in following the best practice in IT service management, including preparation of technical documentation.

•             Understanding of core network infrastructure components including WANs/LANs & routing, network transport & internet security, email messaging protection and network edges security.

•             Experience in establishing and maintaining security controls based on recognised frameworks, including ISO27001 and PSPF.

•             Practical knowledge of best practice and frameworks to ensure secure by design principles are applied to all network solutions.

•             Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to relevant stakeholders and work collaboratively with third-party service providers on solutions.

•             University degree or tertiary qualification in related field with equivalent experience.
