The Role & The Team

Join our team as the Security Policy and Assurance Lead, where you'll spearhead efforts to ensure the organisation's security framework is seamlessly integrated across all aspects. Your day-to-day involves managing a team of security professionals, developing and tracking key performance indicators, maintaining compliance with security policies, and fostering strategic stakeholder relationships. You'll be instrumental in shaping security strategies and incident response plans, impacting the organisation's safety and resilience.

As you pivot to work across key relationships from executive and senior leaders to law enforcement, intelligence and government agencies and stakeholders within the aviation sector across airlines, airports and industry bodies no two days will be the same.

The team is responsible for safeguarding Airservices through comprehensive security measures. People thrive in this collaborative environment, driven by a shared commitment to excellence in safety, environmental, WHS, risk, and compliance.

The Person

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced security professional with a strong leadership mindset and exceptional stakeholder management skills. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments, possesses extensive experience in security risk management, and has a proven track record of implementing and overseeing security frameworks. Key attributes include strategic thinking, effective communication, and a commitment to excellence in security operations.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in security risk management at strategic and operational levels
  • Extensive experience with implementing and overseeing Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated excellence with reporting and advanced MS Suite skillset
  • Extensive experience in national security and defence contexts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and often times at a fast pace
  • National Security Clearance of Negative Vetting Level 1

Security Clearance
