We are seeking a skilled Project Manager - Cyber Security Strategy and Policy to lead our client’s team in enhancing Cyber Security initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing Cyber Security policies and strategies to safeguard critical assets and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Cyber Security policies and strategies to enhance the security posture of the VET data.
• Coordinate independent assessments and uplift of security documentation for Commonwealth and Nationally managed VET systems and data.
• Provide guidelines, training, and support for the sector to self-assess and self-manage improvements to the Cyber Security posture of individual organisation data holdings.
• Manage cross-functional teams and matrix managed teams effectively to achieve project objectives.
• Ensure compliance with government cybersecurity standards and regulations.
Requirements:
• 3+ years’ experience successfully delivering complex Cyber Security projects/programs.
• Demonstrated experience working on large-scale government ICT and/or complex data system programs.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking capability, including the ability to quickly adjust to changes in program priorities and direction.
• Demonstrated high standard of written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
Desirable Skills:
• Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
