About the Role

The security team in these locations play an important role in ensuring that the clients data integrity is always maintained. As the first point of contact visitors and contractors entering the facility, the Security team at these locations need to leave a lasting impression of exceptional customer service.

Position available is located in Seven Hills, NSW.

The successful candidate will work a permanent day shift rotation of 12 hour shifts with 7 rostered shifts per fortnight.

The Security Responder will be responsible for the following duties: 

• Assists the Data Centre security team in providing security services and related operations to the Client site;
• Identifies and escalates issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures;
• Responds to security incidents as dispatched within designated tier times;
• Provides strong customer service, access control, loss prevention, incident response, observation and reporting for all safety and security incidents;
• Conducts patrols of the interior and exterior of the facility, and ensures protection of assets and property;
• Evaluates and escalates potential safety issues within the facility;
• Prepares reports on a surface book device on incidents responded to during shift;
• Serves as Incident Commander pending arrival of security supervisor, or member of a public service agency police or fire;
• Monitors cameras in the Security Operations Center (SOC);
• Identifies security shortfalls and offers suggestions from improving the security program;
• Maintains logs and records in accordance with the Data Centre Standard Operating Procedures.

Skills and Experience

• Must have current AGSVA NV-1 clearance and current State Based Security Licence with Class 1E Monitoring
• Excellent communication skills
• Customer service experience is essential
• Conflict resolution and negation skills required
• Must be punctual and responsible
• Strong multi-tasking abilities
• Exceptional customer service standards
• Basic to Intermediate PC skills (MS Suite)
• Compliance of all relevant company policies and procedures
• Protection of premises occupants, protection of real and personal property
• Report writing and Site patrol duties
• Greet visitors and employees and assist as required
• Excellent observational skills
• Experience communicating via two-way radio
• Lead by example – support a safety and compliance culture
