ABOUT THE ROLE
Venues NSW was formed in December 2020 and is a commercially focused arm of the NSW Government. We collaborate closely with Destination NSW, major sporting codes and promoters to excite and entertain the people of NSW with a rich and varied calendar of major events. This role is based at the Moore Park headquarters of Venues NSW.
Reporting to the Head of Security and Precinct Services, the Security and Precinct Services Manager will be responsible for the leadership, planning, implementation and management of Precinct Services, event security, transport and parking operations of the Sydney Football Stadium and Sydney Cricket Ground operated by Venues NSW.
Working closely with staff and liaising with internal departments, external stakeholders, on-site contractors, tenants, and external agencies on a timely basis.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Your experience must also demonstrate previous experience in managing event security, resolving challenging situations, high level of detail for the planning of parking and Precinct traffic management along with your passion to ensure the safety of patrons, members, and staff.
To be considered for this opportunity, it is essential that the applicants have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive industry experience and professional skills related to event Security and Precinct management.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ operational event security experience including proven ability to provide strong people leadership, operational security planning, supervision, training, and education of security staff.
- Current NSW Security Licence – Classes 1A is essential, and 2A is highly desirable for this role.
- Flexibility in work hours including weekends, public holidays and out of hour work.
