Job Description:About the roleThe
Security Supervisor oversees daily security operations, including the management of the emergency response team, control room operators, service desk staff, and patient monitoring coordination. This role ensures that incident responses are delivered in line with the Service Specification and approved safety procedures. Additionally, the supervisor collaborates with key stakeholders to analyze incidents, assess risks, disseminate safety awareness information, and foster a welcoming, safe, and secure environment.Your responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Providing effective guidance to Security Services through support and leadership
- Managing daily schedules, including monitoring and managing attendance
- Assisting in the development and management of the Security Services training plan, as well as overseeing training compliance
- Maintaining all administrative requirements, which include, but are not limited to, the signing in and out of officers, and compiling and providing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
About youTo be successful in this role, you will hold the below skills and experience:
- Certificate II in Security (mandatory)
- Certificate III in Security (desirable)
- 5+ years working as a Security professional with a minimum of 2 years in a Healthcare setting (desirable)
- Current SA Security Licence
- Current First Aid certificate with CPR
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and leading an effective and cohesive team to achieve goals and implement new strategies
- Sound knowledge of security alarm and management systems, including access/egress CCTV and building automation and across management systems within a control room setting
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Incident report writing skills
