Security/Data Technician

Active Voice and Data Services(AVDS) iscurrently looking for a qualified Security/Data Technician to join our growing team!

About the role

The Security/Data Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of data and security systems for our clients. They will collaborate with clients to assess needs, provide cost estimates, and ensure compliance with industry codes or practices. Therole is a full-time permanent position. Possibly considering options such as a part-time, casual.

 As the successful applicant, your duties will include but not be limited to: 

• service & maintenance on high-end residential & commercial electronic security systems.
• installation of cabling and cameras 
• setting up/servicing/maintaining equipment
• liaising with onsite clients
• following work health and safety policies and procedures 

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• Full Australian working rights
• You have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience within the communications, electrical, or security industry.
• High level of experience within the commercial sector
• Have worked on certified cabling systems such as Molex, Commscope/Krone, and similar.
• Experience with alarm systems
• Experience with IP CCTV systems
• Current driver, security & cabler's licenses

Desired Criteria:

• Experience with different security and CCTV systems (Challenger, Milestone, Genetec, Axis, Inner range, etc)
• Experience Installing/Programming/Commissioning security systems
• Experience installing Intercom systems
• EWP ticket
• White Card
