About ECHO
ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence.
We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP.
Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same team of Support Workers which means that you know the people who are coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support workers providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the people attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services.
As part of our growth, we are seeking motivated individuals, interested in developing their own garden maintenance business. Under the arrangement, you will tell us how many hours per week you wish to work and we will match this to a portfolio of clients who will become your customers. We will specify the type of garden maintenance work you are to undertake and the frequency with which the services are to be provided.
As an independent contractor, you will be expected to make contact with each client and arrange a mutually suitable time to perform the gardening tasks. If you have an established garden maintenance business, you may add our assigned work to your existing roster. Alternatively, you may use our assigned work as the base to a new garden maintenance venture. You will responsible for providing your own equipment, fuel and consumables. You will be required to keep us fully informed on the work you do and invoice us on a weekly basis at the rate of $65.00 per hour (for the time spent at each job).
We are looking for individuals who want the freedom of working for themselves within the framework of an established client base. You will require:
- Access to the equipment necessary for undertaking garden maintenance work including:
- A suitable motor vehicle (either a van or ute);
- Garden maintenance power tools including a lawn mower and blower;
- Garden maintenance hand tools including pruners and rakes; and appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE).
- A valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
- A current Public Liability insurance policy ($10 million claim).
- Current police clearance
We are looking for individuals who operate in and around the Eastern suburbs between and extending to Kalamunda and Middleswan
