Senior Academic Quality Partner

Chisholm is seeking an experienced Senior Academic Quality Partner to support the Academic Quality team until 31 December 2024.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Academic Quality Team will work across and with all areas of the institute to raise awareness of quality requirements, build capability of staff to meet quality standards, educate and review practices to ensure quality remains a focus for all staff in everything that we do.
The position reports to the Manager Academic Quality and works closely with other members of the Teaching and Learning team, including Education Consultants and Quality Improvement Program (QIP) officers.

As a Senior Academic Quality Partner, your key responsibilities include:

• Working with Chisholm leaders and key stakeholders to provide advice and guidance on quality concerns and issues through a sound understanding of Chisholm policy and procedures around Academic Quality.
• Design audit checklists and processes to elicit information about current practice in teaching and learning in comparison to the standards required.
• Provide information to people leaders on performance against quality measures and support implementation of improvement actions.
• Monitor and update list of CRICOS courses, liaising with international operations and marketing to ensure consistent messaging and updating of the CRICOS register when required.
• Design, develop and maintain a proactive thematic focus plan to meet the business requirements of delivery areas and report any quality gaps identified, liaising with other Teaching and Learning stakeholders for implementation and support.
• Provide specialist advice to business areas for their applications for additions to scope of registration, CRICOS and changes to training packages or accredited courses.
• Review and approve Training and Assessment Strategies on development and review
• Conduct Internal Audit against funding contract, self-assurance activities for ASQA declaration and delegation of authority
• Audit marketing materials, including student guides, course information and international student guides and social media material annually to ensure compliance with Standards for RTOs, ESOS Act and the National Code and VET Student Loans guidelines.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships, alliances and partnerships with delivery areas and industry.
• Develop annual quality reviews topics, schedule reviews and notify business areas of expectations.
• Lead Quality Reviews in accordance with schedule and report findings to Manager Academic Quality and business area managers

You have-

• Extensive experience in educational quality assurance and leadership
• Sound knowledge of ASQA, ESOS, VRQA, VCAA and HESG compliance,
• Sound knowledge of best practice training delivery
• Sound knowledge of best practice assessment and validation practice
• Knowledge of training packages and the VET environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with industry groups and regulators.
• Experience in preparation for external audits and conducting internal audits.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Experience in development of policies, procedures, and templates
