Senior Accountant

Our client is in the Inner Northern suburbs of Melbourne and is currently seeking a Senior Accountant with 4 - 6 years of experience to join their team. As a small sized firm, they offer clients a full suite of services and strive to provide them with the highest level of technical expertise and business support.
About the role
The role will include various responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Preparation of Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns for Partnerships, Trusts and Companies
• Construct and Maintain Working papers
• Preparation of BAS & IAS
• Assisting with tax planning, entity setups etc
• Assist in managing client relationships
• Liaising with the ATO
• Preparation of Interim and Management Accounts

Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate would have completed CA or CPA as well as be a Team Player with a positive “Can Do” attitude.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Australian Tax experience
• The ability to complete complex tax returns and activity statements
• Excellent working knowledge of current tax legislation
• Confidence in communicating with all members of the team as well as clients, with both verbal and written communication skills.
