What's the Role:
You will provide support and assistance to the Shared Services Team Manager, Commercial Managers & Sales teams as required for the efficient and effective operation of customer accounts. Ensuring customer accounts are maintained by the Company’s credit policy and trade within pre-set credit terms and limits.
You will be accountable for assisting Sales Teams to maximize the collection of receivables within terms agreed upon for Australian operations and the reduction of overdue accounts. You are also accountable for processing & maintaining the AR cash receipting to maximize the collection of receivables within terms agreed for Australian operations and the reduction of overdue accounts.
You will be supporting the Credit Controller/Shared Services Team Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the Credit Department by facilitating debt collection. This includes accurately processing cheques/cash, direct deposits, and EFTs daily, preparing banking deposits, and reconciling reports with bank accounts.
You will be collaborating with Sales teams to aid in collecting overdue payments and addressing Accounts Receivable queries promptly. Additionally, you'll maintain communication with customers and internal stakeholders, recording interactions in Salesforce for up-to-date debtor status.
You will liaise with IT for system improvements and audits, you'll report suspected delinquent accounts and monitor payment compliance. Your responsibilities include credit reviews, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and handling internal/external correspondence and document filing.
As a Key Technical Criteria:
- Diploma in Finance or Accounting or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated Experience as a Senior Accounts Receivable Officer or equivalent role
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable
- Proficient in Data Entry;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
This role is based in Newcastle or Brisbane.
