Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) is a local government authority covering an area over 282,000 Sq. kilometres. CDRC builds sustainable communities through traditional local government services such as waste management, road repair and upgrades, and community services (Community Safety, Children’s Services; Youth, Sport and Recreation, Aged Care) in 12 communities to the North of Alice Springs: Lajamanu, Ti Tree, Wilora, Nturiya, Pmara Jutunta, Willowra, Laramba, Nyirripi, Yuelamu, Atitjere, Engawala and Yuendumu. The Central Desert area is considered remote and disadvantaged and over 80% of the population is Aboriginal.
The Role
The Senior Administration Officer is responsible for providing quality administrative and customer service support for Aged Care services in accordance with Central Desert Regional Council strategic and regional plans, policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide professional customer service to Aged Care clients.
- Provide administrative services to the Aged Care Services Team including;
- General administrative support, meeting support and general enquiries, resolving routine issues and enquiries;
- Raising purchase orders and entering detailed invoice data and coordinate delivery of goods;
- Receiving, collating, recording, reporting and reconciling client payments and fees for Aged Care Service;
- General human resources services, including recruitment, payroll enquiries and advertising vacant positions within the Team;
- Document management, ensuring the correct documents are used and filed as per departmental procedures;
- Ensuring there are adequate office supplies including paper, stationery and other relevant office supplies; and
- Accurate data entry including documents, spreadsheets and department specific systems.
- Be engaged in an effective and proactive health, safety and wellbeing culture.
- Any other reasonable duties delegated by the Supervisor which are within level.
