Mater is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Administration Officer to join the team within Hatch Private Maternity and Women's Health Clinics at Mater Mothers Hospital. This vacancy is permanent full time, 38 hours a week. The successful applicant must have flexibility between the hours of 07:00am - 5:30pm.
Mater Senior Administration Officers are highly experienced in providing medical administration support, including using Patient Administration Systems, within hospital/healthcare environments.

As the largest facility of its kind in the southern hemisphere, Mater Mothers' are the busiest Private Maternity hospital in the country, and the largest provider of public-funded women's health services in Queensland.
Salary range: $35.45 - $39.62 (MCA3) plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll be doing
- Manage, organise and provide confidential administrative support with strong customer focus to staff, patients and visitors.
- Provide administrative assistance in a team environment focusing on attention to detail, time management and task prioritisation.
- Exercise judgement where necessary to problem solve in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
- Provide reception administration in public and private outpatient environments including booking and arriving patients, managing waitlists and referrals, filing and liaising with clinical staff in accordance with departmental policy.
- Billing, receipting and banking using practical knowledge of the MBS.
- Carry out other administration functions as directed by your Team Leader/Manager.
- Provide accurate data entry using various network-based information systems
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 3 years' experience in providing high level administration. Hospital/outpatient experience is highly desirable.
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
- Strong computer and data entry skills including MS Office suite and hospital administration systems.
- Dynamic, positive and outcome focused.
- High level of customer service, verbal and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, patients and visitors.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as part of the team.
